Board of Directors and Advisors
Our board is composed of Dr. Steven Adams, Cyrus Mirsaidi, Kevin Russell and Dr. Afshin Bahador.
Steven Adams DVM, PhD, Founder and Director
Dr. Adams is a scientist and veterinarian who has devoted his career to advancing health care and scientific research. He currently engages in cancer research in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2015, Dr. Adams teamed up with local partners to assist the underprivileged children in Myanmar to achieve the most basic levels of health care and education, and continues humanitarian efforts for other global programs supporting health equity and children health. Dr. Adams received his BS and DVM from the Univeristy of California and PhD in immunology/pathology from the College of Medicine at the University of Florida.
Cyrus Mirsaidi, Director
Mr. Cyrus Mirsaidi is Chairman & Managing Partner of Bioselective Investment. Mr. Mirsaidi has held a range of senior leadership positions including CEO of Bioduro, Former and Molecular Response LLC. Mr. Mirsaidi received his B.S. from the University of California, Irvine.
Afshin Bahador MD, Director
Dr. Afshin Bahador Mirsaidi is a Medical Doctor specializing in OB-GYN with subspecialty training in gynecologic oncology. Dr. Bahador provides Project Kalay practical and advanced medical knowledge as well as his unique and very personal commitment to the peoples of Myanmar as if they were all his patients. Dr. Bahador received his Medical Doctor degree and his advanced clinical at the University of Southern California.
Kevin Russell, Director and Counsel
Mr. Russell is currently Chairman of Jaybird Capital. He has held a range of senior leadership roles incuding General Counsel for Emirates International Investment Company LLC, a multi-million dollar global asset manager based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Mr. Russell was also VP at Cantor Fitzgerald LP and an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in both New York and London.
